I’m happy to report that so far I’ve managed to keep up the pace set in the first week of ARC August, which actually surprised me because I didn’t expect that. I thought for sure I’d be slowing down by now. I’ve made some changes to my expected reading from the one that I originally posted at the beginning of the month, but I’ll explain that when I get to the “Currently Reading” section.
Read So Far…
In the Unlikely Event by Judy Blume – The review for this one should be posted later this week.
We’ll Never Be Apart by Emiko Jean – Since this won’t be published until October I’ll be holding off on posting the review for this until later in September.
The Fold by Peter Clines – This actually jumped higher on my list after a friend said she enjoyed it. My review should be posted later this week.
Currently Reading…
Shattered Blue by Lauren Bird Horowitz – I will be starting this book this afternoon.
The Thing About the Jellyfish by Ali Benjamin – I’m only a few chapters in, but I suspect it’ll be a quick read.
I had initially planned to read All the Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders as part of ARC August – and it had been on deck last week, meaning I should be reading it now – but I just realized it isn’t due to be published until January and I have six ARCS coming out in September and October that I’d like to get to first (plus a couple that already came out this summer, which is how The Fold jumped the line). Therefore I’m going to hold off on this one until I get through some of the more timely ARCs.
On Deck…
The Lost Girl by R.L. Stine – I’m hoping the above are quick reads so I can start this by the end of the week.
After Alice by Gregory Maguire – The same for this one, I hope I can start this by the end of the week.
Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen – This is the last of the books I had originally planned to read if I got through my whole list for ARC August. If I do manage to finish this one in week three, I have another three ARCs on the sidelines that I can’t wait to start reading.
All ARCs were received in exchange for a fair and honest review. ARC August hosted by Read.Sleep.Repeat.
